Tire fitment question

I searched and couldn't find much. Will. 31x11x16 fit a stock 05 duramax? On stock rims. They are super swampers. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/for/4207268670.html that's the ad on craigslist.

They will fit, i currently run 34's n im lowered. trimming is necessary with anything over 31-32 tho.

Those are a 6 ply tire not rated for any kind of heavy hauling. I personally would steer clear

I could be wrong, but are the stock rims to narrow to carry a wide tire? I have heard the stock rim is only about 6.5" wide which will lead to bubbling the tread out and faster wear. Like I said I could be wrong. Hope it all works out for you.

Up to a 12.5" wide tire will fit on the stock rims. I'm running 315/75/16 on stockers, my dad's run the same on his lbz since it was brand new. They don't wear faster in the middle. It may not be ideal but can be done and works fine
