Tinted windshield = fail tech?

Am I going to fail tech anywhere if I have a tinted windshield?

How dark? They normally don't think to check the windshied, unless its obvious.

Depends. 20 would be pretty dark.... Mine windows are as follows back glass, two rear doors are 3%. Front two doors are 20% over 5% making it 2-3%. My windshield is 42%.

A tinted windshield is great at night, no more annoying glare!!!!

My Tahoe has its windshield tinted and I love it!

Decided against it on the truck though - I drive it too much to have hassles. Made my appointment for tomorrow at 2:30 for 5% all around.

when I was a starter at drag strip if you couldn't see inside we opened the door to check safety stuff. which is a PIA w/ fast stuff.

They ticket you in Texas for the front window being tinted, we're allowed about a 5" eyebrow across the top and thats about it. 5% on the front door windows and whatever you want on the rear.

You could get a doctors note that says you have sensitive eyes, there is an exception like that...

All truck we own are dark. The only trucks u can see in is mom and dads. Pauls duramax is blacked out u cant see nothing and i am going to make a appointment as soon as my tires hit the road for my windows to be tinted. I belive my front windsheild will probley be 20 and every thing eles will be limo on top of limo where u deffantly cant see inside

will be kinda hard to see outside too, I had limo on my rear windows previously and hated it, it was like having a blind spot where it wasnt supposed to be.
