Thoughts on bad injector?

Desided to check balance rates today and come to find out after shes good and warm #8 climbs as high as +8 and slowly comes back down. When I say comes back dowm I mean after I stop and leave it in drive. If I let it sit long enough it just barely gets below +4. Truck runs fine btw. Time to replace?

Just asking.... your foot hard on the brake the whole time while in P or N and D? If so a compression test wouldnt hurt just to check that side at least..

No, just while in drive. Egt's high too. 600 at idle.

Shouldn't have numbers that high. Do a compression test first and do a fuel return test. Maybe that will shed some light on the problem.

Gonna run some diesel clean and 2 stroke oil through first then move my way toward a compression test. I know it doesn't take that long to do the test, just afraid of the result. This motor has 5000 miles on it and I haven't made a pass yet. I spoke with Larry and he has some ideas as well. Thanks for the replies guys. I will let you all know what we come up with.

Dump some walmart 2 cycle in her. I've seen it work wonders for LLY injectors.:thumb:

Well after some 2 cycle oil, diesel clean, and some help from Larry and Joey:hug: the Dirty is all better! Balance rates are nice and truck runs smoother. Egt's are better also. Thanks guys. When the weather cools down we'll pour the fuel back to er and let er eat! I would like to better the bottle time with #2 only. I think we can do this!
