Buddy @ work has a Ducatti 999 whatever motorcycle, and he has been bugging me for a year to race him. After work I was headed home when he passed me up. He went about 50' in front of me then slowed down to let me catch up. I heard him down shift and nail it, so I did the same. I hung with him for well over the 120 mark before I decided to lift. Neither one of us gained or lost any ground, I was really suprized because I thought the Ducatti is a 9 second bike. When we got to a stop sign, he pulled over enough to the left that we could talk. I asked if he wanted to go from a stop. He agreed, so we headed out further into the sticks. I was using my 275 towing tires on stock 17's and figured I would just light them up @ 70psi of air. We both launched at the same time and I got about a truck length on him. I heard him shift into 2nd or 3rd as he got to my door and passed me by about 5-7mph. He got about 30-40' in front of me and I heard another shift (4th?), from that point on neither one of us gained or lost any ground. He said the last time he looked at the speedo was 140mph+, and it was before we lifted. We were both VERY suprized that my truck could hang with his "Race Bike". We are both sure that if we kept going, he would have eventually pulled on me, because his bike would go over the 170mph mark. The truck was extreamly smooth at that speed, and stable enough that I stayed on it for that long (another suprize).

If it's really a 999 it should be around 140-150 hp levels. Ducati's were never really known for straight line drags, they can carve the shit out of backroad though with the right rider...
With that said, 150 hp on a bike is HUGE :D

I don't think the bike's a slouch, I think your truck's alot faster than you give it credit for!!

With a professional driver the bike should do 10.5 around 135mph in the 1/4.

While that's true, find a professional driver on a bike... Not knocking your friend but, they're not just lay the hammer down and keep the wheel straight either :D
If he'd a slipped the clutch a bit more he might have shown you the ropes.

Ive owned motorcycles and honestly if a truck can hang thats saying something. My gsxr was around 110whp IIRC and pretty much smoked everything. You dont even need skill you can dog a launch and just roll into it. Russ your truck is suprising to say the very least. Like when you ran a 12.0 up here :D

Save it for tomorrow! Hollister rally is tomorrow, and they are opening the 1/8mi. drags up at Bolado Park. The last time they had the 1/8mi open was around 1996. It should be a really fun event with uhhh some extra activitys that require water and T-shirts:angel:
