Is this going to be forever? I thought the kid might be bummed when dad said "no it won't last forever"! Hopefully he will never like the feeling of drugs.

:rofl: Ahhh, poor kid LOL, I was a lil tippsy after i had my wisdom's surgically removed along time ago too, but not that screwed up! I'm actually not a big fan of pain so when they left me in the room to sedate on nitrous and novacaine, I started takin in huge lungfuls of giggle gas through my nose and exhaled out my mouth as not to dilute the juice:rofl: Man i was screwed up but i got my wish of no pain:D

Its overated, I take Oxycodone daily for my back trouble, it sucks, just a band-aid covering the problem, I'd rather it just be fixed and done with...no more meds/pain:(

I had severe scoliosis at age 12, surgery at 14. Almost 20 now and have terrible back pain. No pain meds- kinda scare me. Not sure if I "need" them.

Sorry 4 the OT:eek:

Some insite and advice...

Thats one of my problems too buddy, Some of you guys ive told, but i have 2 screwed up disks im my lumbar and moderate scoliosis aswell. I've had issues since 16-18ish. Always bothered me till year or two ago i decided this crap isnt right, so i went checked it, doc figured out I had issues. One of my meds is simply an anti-inflamitory. One lets me sleep, sleepin is one of the times it hurts its worst. The other is the pain killer. Exept the anti inflam that i need to take as said, the others I only take as needed. The sleep/pain pill, i generally dont take much at all. The pure pain killer, Oxy, I also only take as needed. Unfortunatly, i need that one more often. And also, drugs of this nature are very, very, addictive! The side affects are of concern too, depends on alot of variables...you, spicific med, times, jobs, etc. There often, such as Oxy, schedule 2 narcotics, so that is a concideration too. Your employer might not appriciacte that! My family has had issues with drugs, and its somthin to be very cautious of, you fellas know how one thing can lead to another. That said, i do just put up with the pain a fair amount, least unless its really hurtin. I have gone quite a while without it with no issues, even hurtin. I just dont have an addictive personality i guess, that and use it with respect. Now as an automotive tech, that really gets my back aggrivated in a hurry, when it is real bad, i just dont wanna do my job, it really slows me down and time is money, So... It allows me to contenue to do my job. Nother think to keep in mind, it just numbs me up, masking the problem. While i might feel like a thousand bucks, it would be easy to over do it and cause worse damage. So it commands alot of respect in so many ways! So it can be useful with proper use, up to you guys to decide that, not for everyone.
