My truck has started to go into limp mode at 3/4 trottle. It will not limp at full trottle at all. Had the sciv put in for about three months. The weird part is that the truck will not at all limp at WOT. It has limp three times in the last two weeks at 3/4 trottle. It throws a PO 700 and a PO 777. So i put in a new tcm tune and tried it and it still limped last night. So after it limps i pull over shut the truck off, start it then give it hell. WOT threw the first five gears and it not miss a beat. This is why this is so weird to me. Have anybody else had this problems and if so what did you find wrong with it.

Yeah in talks with him now. Tryin to find out what is going on. I was tryin to see if anyone else has had this problem. We are tryin to figure out why its just doing it in the 4 to 5 shift and not the 2 to 3 shifts. If it was bad clutches if should limp in 2 to 3 shift and at WOT i would think.

Have you made adjustments to the TCM? Have you made adjustments to the fueling tables? If you do not know what you're doing you will take out the trans.
P0777 is a tie up which means and off going clutch did not get released in time before the oncoming clutch applied. I see this on a regular basis with a certain midwest tuner. He is known on the west coast as Pink Slippers.

Got the tunin done by a well known tuner. And yes tcm was adjusted. I have been in contact with him and he has put the same tunes in other trucks with no problems.

Did he also sell connecting rods? They were suppose to work very well in other trucks also without any problems till they bent.
Name the tuner.

Sounds like what my truck would do when the C1s were going.

So today i ran the truck in manual going down the road at about 45mph. I tried going from 4 to 5 shift 5 different times, all at different speeds, rpms, and trottle position. The truck had good firm shifts each and every time. I am beleivin it has nothing to do with the trans. I put a different ecm tune in the truck tonight. Going to run it easy tomorrow and let it learn then try to see how it shifts and if it will limp.

mike, this is getting ridiculous. might want to grow up a little.

What's wrong with the truth? Why can't the truth be spoken. Everywhere you go somebody has something to hide. It's ridiculous, I'm glad Mike did say something. I guess I'll search for midwest tuners and then pick out who it might be. :)

I'll tell you one thing. You damn right I would want to know who's tuning is blowing built trans so I know not to use this guy in the future. It could save me $4,000 and others.

And, I shouldn't use the word "truth", we could all be lieing on here. but, I would like to hear everyones "opinions" to make my descions eaiser in the future.

Sorry for the thread jack. It's just everywhere you go you have comments like this...

That's what everyone says. If you don't tell all why would you expect help? If it is said tuner it would be very clear what your problem is.

any other clues. i would like to stay away from this persons tunning

I feel the same way once in awhile, but everytime I look in the mirror, I see him;)

Name the tuner.

Same TCM tune as I've run in my truck for about a year and a half...Huntinducks in running a slightly different ECM tune than I do, both tunes have defuel...

That's what everyone says. If you don't tell all why would you expect help?

Odd situation, but I'd be happy to answer any questions...

Haha well that makes it easy. If the beans is tuning it your much safer than I thought. Those comments weren't directed at you chris, they were of a tuner/rod salesman. I thought I saw Midwest tuner somewhere?
