I know what you mean about the truck's "territorial bubble". If I am going to the city I put my clevis in. It sticks out about as far as your hook, and people are afraid to pull close to me.
Nice hook btw, is it stainless?

Not SS, I had to order some hooks for work for a light rigging job. I ordered all 10T and got these stupid 11T ones that were made in China, so I had the guys cut all the eyes off the hooks and throw them in the trash and told my boss to try again. I don't use anything but american rigging. A 10t Crosby hook would be twice the size of this junky thing. I ground the china off and spray bombed it. :D
