Here it goes. Never thought I would by typying this or even considering this until lately. Diesel performance is literally my first love and I know I will miss it, but you all know how it goes. I have the itch for a new project and the thought a corvette is really starting to get to me...... The problem is I have a serious attachment to my truck. The ones who know me on here know this :spit:.

The Truck:
2001 CC/SB
Fully built Big Dipper Trans
Custom tuned by Tony@Ridgerunner diesel
EPR Twin Turbos with pretty much every option Trent offered
Full Katzkin interior/Pionner touch screen

Heres what makes this truck unique....64,000 miles. This is for real, this trucks seen snow/driven in snow less then a handfull of times and seen rain twice! I bought the truck from my father who bought it new in 2001 so I know every little priece of history on this truck from day one and even when it wasnt owned by me, I was it's caretaker and not one day went by that the thing was not cleaned! I know this has to be worth something to someone, the problem for me is what I'm trying to put a $$ amount on what seems like a family heirloom to me. I have lots of documentation of everything ever done to this truck, and it is as close to brand new condition possible. I would put this truck up against any in the country for cleanliness for any year

This truck is no doubt a 10 out of 10 and anyone whos ever seen it can vouch. Truck prices seem to be at a pretty good high right now, so it seems stupid to not at least inquire what you guys think its worth and toy with the idea. Start shooting some numbers at me guys.

On edit: This isnt a for sale add yet, just a feeler

Mine isn't quite as nice as yours and I have 140k, I wouldn't sell it for less than 18-20k so I'd say yours is 22k at least. Good luck with the sale and new project!!!

I think you are making a mistake, but since you asked for a price 22k seems fair. I personally think you should keep your truck and start another project where you can afford to keep your truck, :nothingtoadd:

Sounds like a gem and looks like it in your avatar but do you have anymore pictures?

It'll obviously have to be the right buyer to pay a premium for it above and beyond whatever a bank may loan for it because that's what most potential buyers will have available - max. loan amount on it. I can't imagine that's more than what, $15-17000 these days, if that? That doesn't mean it isn't necessarily worth more, just that it'll make it harder to get more than whatever loan value is on it so you might look into that.

$20k should be obtainable from the right buyer IMO. Much more would be bonus on a good deal for you. Much less and it'll be a bonus on a good deal for the buyer.

That's my $0.02

Kris,

It must be some kinda vette

I wish I could say it was, but I havent even found one yet. Just looking around on the forums and seeing what 20-30K buys. Ive found a few local 05-07 vettes with 20k miles for under 30K. I just cant get past the performance that can be had with these cars and over all fun to drive fast with those cars vs. our trucks.

All i gotta say is its a sad day :(. you better make sure who ever gets it takes as much care of it as you! hell require them to join this forum and regularly get on so we can make sure it stays nice :D

James,
I knew you would be one of the first to get in here :( and it makes me pretty sick to even read this thread let alone read your response. I couldnt imagine any sane individual taking care of my truck like I did/do. I honestly would make the buyer go through a screening process and hand them a usb flash drives of the THOUSANDS of pics of my truck at different stages of its life. I feel like most on this site would appreciate what it is, and that there is a buyer out there for my truck....I keep telling myself that to see if I can convince :baby:

25k at least!!! i wouldnt take anything less.

p.s. with no rims.
This is kinda where I'm thinking. 25K seems to be the 'right' money for my truck and even without the mods. I'm very tempted to turn it as close to stock as I can and sell some of the go-fast parts as I may open up the market to some more people who don't want a twin turbo pickup truck. I'll have to think about that one.
Mine isn't quite as nice as yours and I have 140k, I wouldn't sell it for less than 18-20k so I'd say yours is 22k at least. Good luck with the sale and new project!!!
Thanks man, although I've never seen your truck in person, it looks really nice in pics! Its something i would expect to pay 20K for, so thats why I'm curious what you guys think something like mine with a history like mine is worth.....if at all anything more!

Wow, didn't see this coming.. For someone that gave a lending hand, VERY clean truck!
Thanks Andrew! I appreciate all the help in the past, kinda makes it harder to think about letting go knowing that its been around since the beginning of this sport and so many top notch people have had their hands on her.

I think your right and I like your thinking. My problem is that I use my truck like a sports car and not a truck. I know that its my right to use it however I like, but I cant keep from thinking that this is truck at the end of the day and I treat it like an exotic! Every time I spank a mustang or ricer on the road, it makes me remember why I love this sport so much and why diesels are so cool, but carving up twisty roads in a 6spd vette with the targa top off sounds fun! I really need to drive a vette to be sure, but I'm afraid I'll like it more then my 7000lb wanabe sport truck:roflmao:

I really appreciate your input and I have thought about that. I know what book value is, and I feel that there isn't really a category in the book for this.I would have to have a buyer that really knows what they are getting to pay over book and over what a bank would loan. It's kinda of a you have to see it to really believe it kinda of vehicle. I have more pics than I care to admit as this truck has been an overwhelming obsession for me for ten years now. But I can assure you, they don't do it justice. Pics are following....let me know what you guys think to those that haven's seen it or haven't really accessed it for a value.

I'd put a detailed ad on Ebay Motors or AutoTrader for $30k before stripping off the mods.

If it doesn't sell, then strip off whatever mods you can and relist, and sell mods separately.
