Thinking About Buying An LBZ

So I currently have an LML that I love, but I've got it up for sale so I can have some extra cash while I build my new house. Want to stay in D-Max nonetheless and was thinking about picking up an 06-07. I have my eye on one that is in excellent interior and exterior condition with about 120,000 miles on it.

I'm going to take a scanner and my edge insight with me when I go to look at it to check for any codes, injector balance rates. What are some other things to look out for, besides the basics (oil, trans fluid, etc)?

It's going to cost as much as an lml

Check tire pressure before the test drive...classic move on a used truck sale is to air down the tires and make em nice and soft and make any issues seem less obvious...

See if you can get it up on a lift, they shouldn't have an issue with that, check the wheel bearings, rear axle seals (inner and outer) IFS stuff (pitman and idler) and ball joints

I bought mine with 118k mi (or something close) and it needed wheel bearings and I fell for the soft tire ploy, other than that it was mint!

Good luck man, hope it's what you're looking for!

as mentioned above, i checked for all the above and truck has been good for almost a year( bought a loaded lbz in february ) with 75k miles. I did some mods on the suspension anyways so i replaced everything up front with better parts so even if they are shot , you can try to negotiate that on price. I have a feeling lbz's will hold their value for a while since its the last of its kind. I could have got an lmm cheaper than i paid for my lbz.

Thanks for the advise dudes!

I'll research pump rub, I know of it just not familiar with signs of it, since I've been strictly lml.

I'm confident that I'll find a decent lbz and end up with some cash for my house.
