For the better. :)

I'd like first off to see a more defined breakdown on the forum topics. Like for instance,if I may and not be intrusive. :)

For instance this thread is in a off topic section. Why not some other area.

Don't worry about the old rob and duplicate issues. Wasn't that the foundation of the whole Duramax hot rodding? :baby:

Hey do you have the cahonese for a political section?

Just throwing some things out there.

This is up to Pat, but when we sat down and talked about it he wanted a Tech board. While there is always BSing that happens (hence this section) he wanted to talk about technical things here. We now have a 6.2L/6.5L section that we never planned on so obviously things change.

how about a "power adder" specific section to discuss turbochargers, superchargers, nitrous oxide and methonal injection type stuffs? :)

If there gets to be enough threads about power adders in the Hard Parts section that it makes sense to create a forum for that we will. But we are not going to create new forums just to 'have them'. New forums will depend on traffic, what makes sense, and keeps the site the easiest to navigate. We could even combine forums together if it makes sense. Just have to wait and see.

i understand the desire for a tech forum, but personally one stop shopping is easiest for me. jmo. i used to use the dp for the off topic and pr. then come here for tech stuff. i like reading the issues here and the solutions more than other sites as it seems the "in the know" guys help here more. again it is brought back the smaller community/family like atmosphere. whatever. i am rambling:baby:

Currently, no plans for Politics, Religion, or Sex areas.

Geez, folk want to strangle each other over tubing and cooling system parts; heaven help us if the existence of God becomes the topic! :D

If a forum gets fewer than 10 posts per day, it often fades and dies. So waiting until the volume of one topic is large enough to split off seems to work better.

About the 6.5 forum. There are some really smart 6.5 guys who are a great asset to the diesel community. They had a great group going at TDP and I did not want to break that up by having an area here. But it seems a number of them are leaving TDP, so I put an area here that they could meet and share ideas if they want.

I just like to have a Thank you thing like the diesel garage does lol and maybe a area for supplier discounts and rebats and offers, and and like the Vin and tsb area add a sub form for service information to be added from the Gm site for tq specs and anything else some might want to look at how to take apart the inside of truck and what way does it go back by GM specs im sure Mike will help post this info and I would add to it.

IMO the Garage is just to dam busy with crap, sorry again if I offend anyone.

Keep it simple I like that. If this is what it is then that is what it is. If I need something I know who to talk to Kat. :D
