Installed MBRP downpipe, it is coated and heat wrapped, but I noticed the dipstick tube is very close at one point to it.

Would it be worth wrapping the dipstick tube with something, or not worry about it?

If so, can anyone point me in a direction of what stuff to buy?

I wouldn't worry about it unless they are touching. Mine is very close and my truck get very hot very often without any issues. You could alway bend the disptick a little bit to gain a little more clearance.

Just a cheap suggestion... Cut a piece of rubber hose so it can wrap the dip stick tube (kinda like how water pipes have insulation) and use hose clamps to hold the hose snug to the dipstick tube.

the engine oil dipstick will see more heat than the trans dipstick being it snakes around right next to the exhaust manifold
