Just once, and just barely, but it happened :)

Stock motor, stock turbo, stock trans, stock airbox. Mods in sig below. [email protected]. Race weight 5310 lbs. DA 4461 ft.

Got 9 runs in, the other 8 were 13.0x, even had a 13.001.

Left lane in photo below. I was hoping for it to be a solid 12 second truck, but oh well. 1 is better than none.

Nice. I worked long and hard to finally get some 12's in my lb7. Congrats, and sick truck!

That has to be a crazy fun truck on the street. Congrats on the 12's. It was a big accomplishment when I got mine too.

Yeah they are stock trans tunes. The 4-5 shift limps on anything more than about 75% throttle now, so I was running a trans tune that doesn't allow a 4-5 shift. I was crossing the traps at almost 4000 RPM. A built trans and new tunes should make a big difference! Hoping to be able to visit Mike by the end of summer.

nice.... i hope to build my trans and then do some efi along with the other obvious upgrades and then be back at the track.... i thought you were running 12s easy. (i could only see the launch) but you were leaving pretty hard/quick

I found this thread on adjusting Caltracs, I think this might help my 60'. I had the Caltracs cranked as tight as they would go for the first half, then slightly less for the last half. This thread takes the opposite approach and actually goes "negative" on the preload. It actually makes sense when he talks about the recommended preload being for a transbrake launch rather than a footbrake launch.

Made the adjustment tonight and went into a business park to do a couple of practice launches. 20psi got me no front tire spin at all, and a 25psi launch got me a small chirp from the front left. I think this could be good...also going to strap the front end down next time according to this thread:

I've always heard that .1 reduction in 60' is a .2 reduction in the 1/4, if it were possible for me to get into the 1.6's for 60', that would be a .4 second drop in the 1/4.
