Well after a long wait the Black Sheep is up and running.
Little long but please read, credit is due….
As most know I spun a main bearing and broke the oil pump. At that point I started sourcing a short block to build. I ran into a few “glitches” getting a new motor but along the way I ran across (thanks to IdahoRob) a new LMM motor complete out of Montana (G&J Diesel, Thanks guys). The theory was to build this motor but with as much down time I have had, I decided to just throw the new motor in the truck. Chad and Alex at Alligator Performance have been such a HUGE help with this project. They have been there with this tuck since I got it. They are the reason it is up and running at this point. We also put the 40% over injectors in along with PPEs dual fuelers. And every other bolt on I had on the old motor. Hopefully it will still be in the 12’s lol.
I am still gonna complete the built motor once we source a block and crank. When its complete, I’ll do the swap at that time. It is so nice to have a truck again, especially after making 2 payments on it and not being able to drive it.
I want to thank everyone who has helped me out with this. This site kept me up at times when I was really down. There is some things going on right now that have been bringing me down and the truck was only making it worse.
I owe so much to Chad and Alex (Alligator Performance) for there help, opinions, knowledge, and time. I know Chad has done a lot for me. I even owe his wife an apology for the late nights he stays at the shop, seems like if he’s there late, I happen to be around lol.
Again Thanks Everyone, and this is only the beginning, more wild and crazy things to come with this truck.
