I just wanted to let you all know the auto door lock info under TSB's was invaluable! I called two local dealers to get the "manual" option added, both of them said they knew nothing about it. They said if I had the information they would try. Well 1/2 hour shop labor and its done! Thank you!

On the 2007 Classic (any maybe other) trucks, there is not an option in the DIC for manually locking the doors. It either locks when put in gear, or with speed. There are many times you don't want the doors re-locking (like working on a farm, or getting in and out a lot), so not having that option sucks.

The dealer can set the BCM back to the old "manual" locking setting.

But the lock button on the doors will still work fine? I would be interested in this for my 06. Wouldn't hurt the ECM tuning, correct?

It doesn't change anything except it adds the option to allow manual lock and unlock of the doors to the DIC.

You wouldn't be able to switch the locking mode at will, but the dealer could set it to manual locking for you. If you wanted it back to auto locking, they would have to put it back.

And yes, the door controls all work just like before.
