I Am Looking For A Head That I Can See With My Own Two Eyes In My Own Hands. I Have A Bolt That I Dont Think Goes Through A Coolant Passage But The Guy Working On My Truck Says It Does So I Want To See This With My Own Eyes! Please If Anyone Has A Spare Set Laying Around, So I Can Come Pick One Up And Show Him Then I Would Greatly Appreciate It. As Local As Possible. I Can Leave A Deposit Of Some Sort If Needed. Maybe The Wife! Haha Thanks Guys!

If you want to drive to brownwood I think I can let you look at one. Tell your mechanic to get on here and ask and then he will have an answer.

Thats the thing i think hes trying to bullshit me on this and i want to prove him wrong!engine%20drawing.jpg IT IS THE BOLT THAT BOLTS THE INTAKE MANIFOLD TO THE HEAD, THAT YOU CAN ONLY GET TO WITH THE Y BRIDGE TAKEN OFF! SOME ON HERE HAVE SAID THAT THAT BOLT DOES NOT GO THROUGH ANYTHING.

Out could check or ask henry (ripmf666) to post an official GM diag. showing the fasteners there and that they don't go through any water passages. ;)

thanks alot larry i would have to find something to get me there that i can rely on! my wifes explorer has tranny issues id hate for it to brake down on the way down there, but i will keep it in mind. i appreciate all the info guys!

6.6 heads.jpg this should be the bolt hole im talking about that bolts the intake to the head and it looks like there is a cavity above that, is this where coolant, air, or oil circulate? does this hole go all the way thru?

man thanks alot! ill give you a shout tomorrow, i missed opening weekend so if your still gonna be around i could swing by i actually work in keller and i am always going through haslet anyways.

:hug: Heck ,the hell you have been through with your mechanic, Im glad Im here with a great forum that has vast knowledge and people who want to help ya. Its just a feeling that you cant explain to be able to call people on here and ask for their help and they answer the call and go beyond what they have to do. So big thanks to Dann-o- who is gonna help with a lb7 tune and huge props to Tyler for engine questions. And anyone else who can pitch a hand to help out will be awesome to get you back on the road and never havta look back.

Now let the beer drinking commense for the TEXAS GUYS! Every1 in Texas take a toast for big hoss who has been without his truck for months(almost a freakin year!). Now he can see the light and stick the finger to the mechanic who screwed him over. We Texas guys are big n proud to help. GO TEXAS
