Question: Texas Folk?

Which has more truck stops:

I-40 from the West to Dallas
I-20 from the West to Dallas

Never taken the I-20. Been a long time since I've run the I-40.

I'm not familiar with an I-40 that goes into Dallas. I think 40 runs to Amarillo, and you would have to take a highway down to Dallas (I can't remember which one, but it goes throught Wichita Falls). I -20 and I-30 both go through Dallas, but I-30 splits off of I-20 not too far from Ft. Worth, and I-20 splits off of I-10 I think out near El Paso.

I 40 is good road man. From where I live in ALbuquerque west you'll have Loves, TA, and Flying J. 2 in Santa Rosa NM, 2 or more in Tucumcari, many in Amarillo, and not sure about Witchita Falls...

Yeah there's only a few truck stops from Midland to dfw like philtopgun said, but its only about 4 hours from Midland to Fort Worth I make the drive every week for work. I don't know about the hwy west of Midland though...

Are you suggesting going across and catching 35 down into Dallas? Seems a long way out of the way. If going across 40, US-287 south out of Amarillo to Dallas would be the way to go in my opinion. That said, I would probably go on 20.

Just went to work today and it looks like they're building a new Loves just west of Sweetwater. I'm not sure when you're coming through but from Midland to DFW that makes about 6 nice truck stops. Warfield in Midland, ta's in big springs, loves in sweetwater, flying j in Abilene, loves in ranger, and loves or petro express in Weatherford. I might be forgetting some but there is plenty of nice places to stop between Midland and DFW.
