I don't even set my alarm clock anymore, I just leave the computer turned on beside the bed. He usually wakes me up on his way home from work at about 5:30 in the morning. It always ends up with him saying "Well I'll let you go, I'm gonna take a shower, eat, and get ready to go back to work" I wonder what he's going to do with all his money?:D

oilfield Mitch

dang, there's a bunch of you oil field folks on here.... think you all could start slipping us some of that black gold on the DL?

reckon there's a black market for oil? I'd imagine there is but never really heard of or thought about it before...

Home brew Bio-diesel could make a man rich if he had the time and could keep it low key. I've been thinking about it.

if I had a good reliabel source of oil, you better bet I would already be doing it... just for myself and friends, not for profits... way too much regulation to get into that way... problem lies in me getting all the equip. and stuff then have my oil supply "dry up". That would not be good as the equipment isn't exactly in hgh demand so may be hard to unload.

I've definately thought about it though... anyone have a commercial restaurant? Wonder what they can buy new oil for in bulk? :D

You can buy a complete unit for 1800 Mitch that will make 50 gal a day. It would be a very messy job transporting the raw oil though kind of a PITA. But you would def save alot of $. I found a friend of a friend who can get me filtered veg oil for 50 cents a gallon, which I thought was pretty reasonable. I also have 2 neighbors that have big car haulers that would buy as much as I could make. Seems like a very messy process to do in a garage. But it is tempting.

Yes I know. I had a source for frier oil where I used to live but since moving back home, I haven't looked. Some of the setups seem like they are probably a pretty clean process. Time and effort would be a kicker too. It's no where near as convenient to get fuel if you have to make it yourself. It would get easier as time went on and you got the process down pat but initially it'd probably a major PITA. A friend and I have talked about it though if we can source some oil... Anyone know anything about converting engine oil to fuel? Not just dumping the raw oil in and burning it but rather converting it to fuel?? We do have a plentiful source of engine oil. :D

Is that "billion barrels per hour?"
