My 04 has started smoking a bit at idle after warming up, so I put the tuner on to check the injectors, number 2 was showing a way lower number than the rest. Does that mean it's on the way out? I don't know what the numbers mean, I'm guessing it the open time.

Cant check it with the ppe, need a tech 2 or efi live to check balance rates. And the lower the number the better,0.0 being the best, the higher the # weather its - or + the worse it is.You own a lb7...better get good at changing them injectors out or have deep pockets.hope this helps.

I has been awhile since I looked at the data screen on the PPE I have and the truck is apart now. But I thought I remember seeing the balance rates on mine. It lists the cly# and rate from what I recall. Year or so ago before the head gaskets went out I remember checking them.

I gives numbers like this.
#1 inj. 2.5Ms
#2 inj. .7Ms

Just an example not the actual numbers, I should have wrote them down.

I may be wrong and someone please correct me if so. But those are the milli seconds readings. ( Balances rates). Should be between -4.0 to +4.0.
If that's not correct then I hope someone chimes in.
