Test Day Friday 3/5 @ Speedworld - Any interest?

As the title says - we're looking at renting the Speedworld strip during the day, Friday the 5th, prior to the NHRDA race that Saturday, to get some more tuning time on the dragster.

It's $1500, split between however many guys show. If you're looking to get some laps on your car / truck, during the day before the track cools, the more the merrier.

It's looking like it'll just be us right now, and we're not 100% sure that we're going to do it - having a couple other teams to split the cost with would help.

Isnt it a little late to be asking this..?? Less than a week away and dont they already have test and tune anyways, 7 lanes of staging and 5 hours of practice. I think you will be fine.

Testing on a well prepped track in daytime is more realistic for us - it may sound like nitpicking, but it matters. T&T this last Saturday night at Speedworld was cold and slick, and didn't give us a lot of usable data.

If you can get some more trucks let me know , I may be in for 100-150 , but I know we would need alot more folks involved , i think I could make it in that early if i had a reason too , still have to get a few things done on the truck before i leave but not a ton .

We would, but the stars are not with us. Kid stuff and work stuff (ISO 9001 audit Monday) and a spun main bearing was a bit too much to shrug off and go racing.

For those interested, this is a good opportunity to set a "new best". Last year, they sprayed the snot out of the track, and you can run as much as you want. A blown up water pump / headgasket sent us home, but it was a perfect time to run a new best. This is how many of the "records" are set back East.

Oh, and before the Rumor Patrol starts up, our stroker motor is out getting some improvements, the spun bearings were found on our backup engine when we started to swap.

I feel it is really cool for the invite to a test day with Banks.

I may make this depending on how the wrenching day goes tomorrow.

I agree too, but I have nothing considerable (12 second LMM) or need to test nor the cash to spend for something like that right now :rofl:

But it makes me wanna get to PHX a little earlier to see some extra 'go fast' :cool2:

7 something but it sounded like it wasn't running right. They should get it dialed in tomorrow. Nice looking piece too.
