LBZ: Tapshift No Worky

My tapshift isn't working on my 06. When i put the shifter in M, the gears show up on the DIC but i can't change gears with the selector switch. Can someone point me in the right direction as to where i should start looking? Could it be a fuse even if the gear selector shows up on the DIC?

Sounds like the wire for the shift lever has broken in the steering column. Time for a new shift lever.

I had one do that, had a broken wire in the ign 0 circuit

So I should pull the column apart I guess and start checking wires from what I've heard so far. :thumbsdown:

More than likely it'll be one of the white wires in the orange sheath coming out of the shifter. The break will probably be right near the black clip, thats where most of them break. You can cut out the clip (its molded to the wire sheath), solder in a couple pieces of wire (you'll want to extend both), shrink wrap it and loosely tie it back up with a zip tie.
