Having trouble contacting Ben. My truck is an 01 and already has a tapshifter retrofit kit from Ben on it. Will I be able to keep this and its functionality when I switch to an LBZ and six speed ally? What will need to be changed?

Did you send an email or PM?

The tapshift kit on 5-speed and 6-speed works completely differently.

With the LBZ swap, you're going to ditch the tapshift kit and just wire the shifter directly to the 6-speed TCM.

Thanks Ben. I thought that might be the case. I sent you an email about it.

On edit: So it will be pretty easy to wire the shifter I have to the six speed tcm? I'm buying the truck with it installed already so I'm not familiar with the wiring.

This harness makes it plug and play, and includes the tapshift wiring to make the 06 shifter plug right in.

Or are you swapping the entire interior over from an 06?

Not swapping interiors. I guess I'm asking after I ditch the wiring from the 5 speed tap shift kit will what's left be plug and play with the six speed tcm? Like I said, I'm not familiar with the five speed kit wiring. I think I understand now though, your modified harness will have the connector to plug right in to the shifter.
