Has anyone used a fuel tank sump? Like the one from www.hellmannperformance.com - it looks like a good thing

i had to stop reading it after like the 3rd post. I thought it was some otheR thing about a draw straw.theres a long thread about that thing fairly recently. If you can wade through the miles of bs in it, there should be some useful info. To be had from it. :d

i just installed mine over the weekend and a few of my freinds just put them on also , its a nice peice , install wasn't to bad i havn't had time to test yet but from test drive the truck felt better ,and no leaks yet , but until i log a run i cant say .
is this the piece from hellmann you are talking about?
yes , one thing to note is on a lb7 tank the ring that goes inside the tank you have to cut into 2 peices to get through the sending unit hole but its not a bid deal its just the ring that is tapped for the bolts to thread into .
are you telling me that you did this without dropping the tank? The reason for cutting the ring in 2 ?
no you still have to drop the tank , the ring has to be cut into 2 peices becase the ring is to large of a diamiter to fit into the sending unit hole . The ring goes inside the tank the other peice with the bowl and were the hose plumbs into goes on the outside of the tank , a 3" hole is drilled out of the bottom of the tank then 8 or 10 1/4" holes for the bolts. The two peices sandwich the tank with a gasket to seal . Hope this makes sence qutie simple but hard to explain .
dont you think it will leak? With that ring cut in 2
