I joined this site to learn more about performance of my duramax engine and I have learned alot but im still learning and still willing to learn I got into diesels because you cound have alot of horsepower and still get good mpg but with so many parts and products, so many shops, and so many ppl everybodys stuff IS THE BEST no matter who you talked too, so with this in my mind I went to some local shops just to see what I could learn, well to my disappointment nobody really wanted to answer my questions because they didn’t know how to answer my questions but there parts and programmers was the best hands down so I left there empty handed still wondering who do i need to talk too to get started off right, I bought the first Diesel Power DVD and really got hooked I said one day I want my truck to be competitive at sled pulling at our county fairs nothing major just so I can have a good time and be able to out run my neighbors camaro at the race track, so I thought well ill talk to some ppl who pull there trucks a lot and ppl that are serious about racing so I would go to some big events and just talk to ppl at the pits and some of the bigger shops that you see at these events. Man did I run up on so real ass holes I didn’t think I was ever gonna find anybody who was gonna try and point me in the right direction so after 3 years of phone calls, emails, and just running around the pits and events I want to thank some people for just helping me get started and putting up with my endless questions.

Special Thanks To

Only thing I have to comment on is that many times pits aren't the greatest places to try to get questions answered or judge a shop's helpfulness - at least not during the event or class we're running in. We are trying to get our trucks right and listening for the announcer to call us to the line - we're in race/sled mode, not "how may I help you" mode. After our class or event is done with and our truck is ready to drive or take home if we are still hanging out then we're back in "can I help you mode". Not saying we mind you coming up and saying hi or asking a quick question, just letting you know why we may seem short with you.
