Tail Housing to transfer case mating surface???

I bought an LLY fresh built trans for my LB7. I assumed I would only have to swap over the trans line fittings and nsbu switch.

BUT!!, when I pulled my trans out and looked at the tail housing, the one on the lly has a groove in it like it would take an o-ring and not a regular gasket.

Can anyone help me out.

Mike, is a stand up guy, Already answered my questions. some of the tail housings had that groove in it. Nothing to worry about

I've only seen them on early LB7s though, not an LLYs.
