To over fill is not a good thing to do. I have switched over to Champion Blue Flame oil and it's working great. With Rotella Dino it when matched up next to some older jugs of the same they has thinned there oil out and oil pressure started to drop off and truck good noisy. Was also running Mobile Delvac 1300 Dino and it just did not hold up the same. So I made a switch I'm a Amsoil dealer but not sold on it and I get a good deal on Blue Flame since its made here in Kansas City. No noises oil pressure is steady and higher then before.

Well I don't get it, that seems like a serious downfall. I'm sure it's above the minimum psi requirements but it's definitely not as high as normal 15 40 mobil. Is this going to be a problem?

i see better average oil pressure with syntheic than i did the regular stuff. im runnin rotella t6 though. oil pressure is a steady 57psi at 1800 and 210*. after break-in the other oil dropped pressure to 53psi at 1800 and 210*.

I'll have to test more, every time I let off the throttle my CS was bepping low oil psi because I had it set at 19 psi. Seems very low to me compared to what it ran before. Around 30 at idle 70 driving at 186*

Your oil pressure switch is on the journal (not pre filter like the 01-02s). The pressure when hot WILL drop below this 19psi you have it set for. I would reset it for 14psi. This is the lowest I would want to deal with. Mines been down to that (14psi) with with very hot oil. The hotter it gets the lower your pressures will be because of this. The oil starts running more like water than cold oil when hot. If your worried about it, get a multi grade oil like a 5w-50 or 20w-50 (the latter is harder to get flowing in the cold though if you ever deal with this). This will help.

PSI is lower that running normal 10-40. No issues i guess. Ill see how it holds up over time since I am within normal specs. Thanks guys
