So i have been reading, i am not sure if i understand this so please correct/inform me. You increase flow, reduce dp & egt by upgrading to a T4 pedestal? Is this something that would be desireable to do when upgradeing to 4094? Thanks to all.

the 4094 is a drop in replacement for the stock turbo so i dont think there would be a way to change the "pedestal" since it is all one piece.

the 4094 has a T4 so you obviously want a T4 pedistal

Ok so it was my impression that the 4088, ,4094 & 4202 were "outline interchangeable" the 88 & 94 were on a t3 and the 42 was on a t4, and if you wanted to run a twin, or gas on the 4094, it ws suggested to go to a t4 to open up the exhaust side to reduce dp and egt, yes the 4094 comes on a t3. Can it be ran on a t4, has anyone done it?

Sorry for leaving such pertinent info out:eek: i meant for the varible/ drop in. Two different shops(non vendor) said stock is "like" a t3, flow/footprint, but not a "t3"

My way of gauging noobs in duramax land is when they go on and on about the "4094" when they're talking about the GT4094AVNT. The Garrett GT4094R or commonly referred to as the 4094 was a very popular turbo a few years ago.
