Allison 5sp: T case tail shaft leak

I have an 05 LLY with transfer case out put shaft leek it doesn't hit the deck but it does sling up on the underneath I figure it is the yolk seal. Any thoughts and does the transfer case and the trans share fluid or is the T case self contained.

Back there is just tcase fluid. Common. Any of the dealers on here can set ya up with a nice complete package for that. Pub rub kit while your there with new bunching and tail bearing. Once starts to go it'll trash it. Then like my case I thought all hell just slap a new seal on and that when the tone wheel jumped into the vss and limped my trans for me. Lol if its worth doing do it right. GL! Hope that helped

Yep, search pump rub.... The leak will be closer to the t-case and not back by the output seal, also it will only leak when you drive it due to the height of the oil level. It could just be the tailshaft seal though. I have put a couple in mine due to the extreme temperature swings.
