Switching A-pillar gauges?

I've been running the Danin Pricol Optix gauges (pyro, boost, trans) for awhile now and thought about switching to a set of cobalt autometers. Would the temp. senders & all hardware be relatively similar so I would not have to tap any new holes?

Thanks

Sending units can be extremely specific, or pretty generic. You may try getting the voltage map for the Boost and trans gauges (or find out what max voltage at max sending unit pressure / temp is). If they match, then they can be interchanged. I would suggest changing the sending units as warranty may be voided if you do not use the autometer sending units.

IIRC the pyro probe is one of 2 types (K or N??). But once again changing it should be considered for warranty.

Wiring is going to be similar. Pyro should be 2 wires. Temp and boost could be either 1 or 2 wire sending units.

Someone here may be able to tell you what the sending units for the autometers use for wiring. If you have 2 wire units now and the autometers are 1 wire, just abandon the extra wire. If the other way, then you will need to add new wires.

Whats the reason for changing? I installed 5 Cobalts in a 06 Dodge this weekend only to find the illumination in three of them was DOA. We put a rail pressure, and a fuel supply pressure gauge overhead and boost, egt and trans temp on the a pillar and the two fuel pressure and the trans temp gauge lights didn't work.

My Pricol Optix work perfectly fine...I just changed my instrument cluster to one of those USSPEEDO clusters w/blue led's. The optix's are green and I've been told I can't change the bulb inside. Kinda a piss poor reason to change but just bothers me having bright blue cluster with green gauges lol

btw-I couldn't believe the price difference between optix & the cobalts. WOW
