Curious who has swapped valve springs in the truck? Does anyone make a tool like the source automotive tool for the 24v cummins? Does anyone know the spacing on the valves so I can make a tool?

Snap on doesn't make anything for the dmax. Matco is the only company that makes stuff for the dmax and they only make a flywheel tool.
I want to make on like this but need the spacing and the diameter of the retainers.

This is what I use. Works good. You need to pull the injector to use it.

I have access to one of those John and they do work great. Its just daunting when you hae 32 valve springs to swap
Tom all I need is a overhead picture of the head and the the centerline measurements from valve to valve and the diameter of the retainers.
I can make you a disk no sweat but how are going to use it compress? You can not use the injector hole. No threads.
Why not make one that uses the rocker hold down bolt to compress the spring. You could probably get it made such that it clears the injector and uses the rocker retainer bolts to compress the valve springs. Using the glow plug hole and compressed air will keep the valves closed.
In the old days, one would use compressed air to hold the valve closed, and then use the rocker bolt and a "tool" with leverage from human muscle to compress the spring.

Got this taken care of yet?? I'm curious to see what was fabbed up to do compress all four springs at once. I have the one for 24V Cummins and thought a similar design could be made to work on dmax's too. If you're still needing one though, I too have the Kent Moore that will do one at a time I'd be willing to loan you.
