Question: Swapping a 2004.5 and newer cluster into a 2003

Hi I have a 2003 2WD EC/SB. And my cousin has a 2004.5 GMC same as mine with the LB7 engine as well.
I was wondering if there was a way to get all the features that he has. I.e. The instant mileage and range and what not. To work on a 2003?
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know if it will work or not. But I will say that I have an 03' and it does have those features already. So, I don't see why it wouldn't. I guess you could put it in and see.

well you need to have the steering wheel controls in order to display the fuel economy and stuff...

2004.5 would be an LLY, Probably not an issue here though.

I could be wrong on the year, but his engine is definitely a LB7.
Now is there a harness that the controls plug into?
