What a great weekend. I wish everyone was there. It was cloudy and cool when we pulled up, just as adam did. We unpacked the trailer and set everything up. We had no idea it would be all fast V8s. We went out on the golf cart, thinking it would be a while until we raced, and we didn't prep the truck. It turned out, the first race of the class was minutes away, and we missed it. Adam didn't and he got a 15.48@92. When we got back, adam was immediately on the computer trying to find what was wrong. We made breakfast, and then went out on the golf cart again. the funniest car there was an oldsmobile ambulance, with a blown BBC and nitrous running high 11s. Next time around, we got out, and I took video. The truck ran a 13.57@97, because he forgot to put it in drive, and third instead. We did not get to see The Neens run at all, because he wasn't there. The golf cart was definetly a necessity.
The next day,adam wasn't there, because he ws running slow. We pulled up and saw John James (gasuout) and was glad to see him. John ran a 16.81 and a 16.71, and made it to round two. Right when we pulled up, they were calling our class. So we made like a pit crew and quickly prepped the truck. he went out and ran a 13.6X@104., and he won his first race, because the other guy broke out, and we had a 13.20 dial. When we came back, the strangest thing was happening, a pit bull was attacking a wiener dog and two girls. The girls ran away leaving the dog for dead. So we got in the cart, and dad ran the dog over, separating them, and he was the hero. He went out again and ran a [email protected] and won again. We found out there were pro mod cars, and they raced. His final race, which I didn't see because he was almost too late, which was the quarter finals, he red lighted and broke out with a [email protected]. We found a new spot and moved the trailer, so we could set up the deck, and got pics. What a fun, day for all the diesel guys
