Anyone here have experience in tuning a sub to its box??
Im trying to make this sub (audiobahn awp310x) work in this truck. So far, I've found it wont fit under the rear seats, at least once a box is wrapped around it, or behind the rear seats. Too tall. I'm thinking that it may work if I build a box that looks like a center console in the back between the seats. That would give me enough room to fit the sub.....
My question though is this. According to audiobahns site, if the sub is to use a ported box, the port needs to be 2" by 10". Do I point the end of the port at the sub, at the front of the box, back of the box, where?? Would it better off with a sealed box?? Which sounds better??
Also, anyone else have a problem making a sub fit?? Where did you put it??
edit: the old box dimensions (shown - VVVV) were ~11"x10"x12". It sounded exceptionally good, even for its small size. Im just wondering if porting is even worth the effort.
thx
