OK, so I have been looking for a speaker box for my '04.5 CC/SB I just bought. I can't really find one that will fit. The salesman the place I bought my old ones wasn't very much help. I have 2 12" speakers I would like to put in it but I don't think that they will fit. I was told that the only ones that will fit are 2 10" under the seats. I went to Best Buy and they didn't have any boxes that would fit in my truck, and they were @$$es about it. Would love to have the box behind the seat but I wouldn't be opposed to putting one under the seats. Just need some input on where to start looking!? Any ideas are appreciated! :)

BestBuy is the worst place to go for info about Stereo stuff. If you ask questions there, they only want to answer them if you will have them do the work. And they are idot's. They're to stupid to be a full blown idiot. Ok. Off rant.

You can try Crutchfield. They might have something. Kenwood might have something as well as Q-Logic. Those are all pre-made boxes. But if you want something that matches the speakers, have one made.

where are you located at? how old are they? and what year was the crew cab they came out of? I might be interested?

I live in St. Joseph, MO 64505

The subs are only about 2 months old. I decided to go hog wild with my truck and had a custom inclosure built to house 2 JL 8w7's. Since then they have been sitting in my garage collecting dust. They came out of my 2002 crewcab shortbed.

JMO, But I would stay with a 8-10" sub max, due to the limited amount of airspace avalable in such a small box. I actually started out with 2 12's, down firing subs in my 05 CC but with some help from the local car audio shop we ended up matching up a set of 8" Diamond subs with a JL AMP that sounds 10X's better then my 12's did..

Here is a picture of the box I made out of fiberglass(1st time working in it so be nice) for 2 -12" drivers. They mount facing the carpet and it was pretty loud. I still havent finished final trim and bracing but I took out the jack and cut the little bolts coming up from the floor. I cant remember how much air space but I think it was ~1-1.5cf each.
The picture is of the enclosure standing up to see what it looks like.

:rofl:No, Those are glass fibers from the fiber glass mat I did not vacuum before taking the pic......
It would take a lot of work to get snot under the seat. I used the woven mat for the first layer then went to the random orientation stuff and when you cut it or touch it gets fibers everywhere.
