Stupid question - What does Dexcool taste like?

As the title says, what does Dex taste like? I have a small leak with red fluid that looks like it is coming off the pipe that joins to the exhaust manifolds at the rear of the engine.

It is redish in cooler but is not sweet like antifreeze. It tasted more like oil, but what fluid would be red and located near the back of the engine up at the top.

I think I need to remove the glow plug controller to look around.

Could be trans fluid. May have dripped when you added it or blew out the vent.

Could be the turbo coolant line in/out or heater hoses or EGR cooler

PH strips work good for telling you if its water based

Trans fluid probably. How full is it? It could come out the breather. Dexcool is very very sweet. Like 10 packets of sweet and low at once.

Um why?

I thought beer was cheap in the states-and tastes much better.

thanks guys, I am betting it may be the trans vent, just need to find out where that is now.
