Help: stupid dodge tranny

well the trans in my chevy (92 cummins/dodge 518 swap) took a major shit on me, are these very expensive to rebuild? over drive was growling then started to bind up at highway speed, so i turned it off(the over drive) and drove home in 3rd...metal flake in the oil real bad, so it looks grim. ball park figure n a build please mikey!

i had a 98 12v goat and i did a suncoast triple disk converter,valve body,billet front- intermediate and tail shaft and flexplate i think i had around 4k in it
