Stupid auto climate control

Has anyone replaced their dual zone auto climate control (push button stile) with the better knob ones? Is there any compatible replacement with knobs from say an LT model or perhaps a completely different GM vehicle as we all know GM loves to recycle parts.?

I hate the push button function of the hvac control as it requires to much "eyes off the road" to operate. With the knob stile you can do it all by feel without having to look at it to confirm what you are doing

Ya they do have a more basic hvac controls on base model truck. I don't know what the swap would entail. I would guess the BCM needing reprogrammed at least.

I know you can't go from basic to auto because you would need to change literally everything behind the dash. I'd assume the other way around is the same.

That is what I was afraid of. I imagine that the connection on the back will be different too

The actual evap box itself is different from one to the other. The fan controller, all of it.
