LB7: stuck in 4x4hi

ok,so it rained sunday at the farm,ran the tractor outta fuel...jump in the truck..go hook to the tractor,put the truck in 4x4..then service 4x4 light comes on..

pulled codes tonight...found C0327 Encoder Circuit Malfunction
so i guess the motor is shot..right? i reallt dont wannt drop $300 on the wrong part ya know.

is the light for 4x4 on in the interior or is the truck actually stuck in? dumb guestion i no but when my guage cluster was goin out the 4x4 light was on n i had service 4x4 light on too

light is on for 4x4 hi...smacked the motor already lol o well guess ill bite the big one and get a new encoder motor.....

there are 3 bolts to take the motor off and you can plug it in and have someone hit the button and see if it turns,if it does grab an adjustable wrench and see if the manuel part will turn atleast that will tell you if is the motor or the tcase

welp ended up need the encoder motor,changed it out lat night works great now...hardest part was clocking the nipple to the motor..
