Not sure where to post this but here goes. I had to pull a friend out of the mud this morning. The wires going to my encoder motor are loose because I got the plug hung up on a tree limb on day. The 4wd works but every once in a while you have to jiggle the plug. I know I need a new one. Well after pulling him out its stuck in 4 hi. I cleared the codes with V2 and still nothing. Cycled the ignition and still nothing. Any ideas? I'm at work now and can't mess with it but ill write down the code after work.

pull the fuse, do a dance, rub your belly, hop on one foot and count to 10....
then,......Put the fuse back in.

Thats always the first thing i try

for soem reason, when i was switching between 4HI and 4LO one time it got stuck in 4LO, and i was 1500 Miles from Home, so i tried everything. the fuse was the last thing

I guess its possible to have a tcase or motor problem, but sometimes it just sticks???

Guess ill check the fuse after work. The light will blink in 2 wheel and 4 lo but won't switch over. Oh and can you give me a little better description of this dance. Is it like a cha cha slide or more of a cupid shuffle. Lol I wanna make sure I get it right.
