I just installed a set of dual fuelers last night and the truck is having some strange issues. When I parked it last night it was running great. Now I crank it to go to work this morning and the truck has a P0090 code that will not clear. When I turn the key on the desired rail pressure is around 7k, but as soon as I crank it it jumps to 26k and actual jumps to 29k+. Now the strange part is when I turn the key off the truck doesn't shut down. I have to pinch a fuel line to get it to shut off. Anybody have any idea what is going on?

Where did you tap the control box into for power? Sounds like it's holding the truck on electrically.. There's no way for an electronically controlled injector engine to stay running mechanically.. So I'd say check your control box.

I tapped into the big pink key on wire under the underhood fuse box.

When I hooked mine up I got power from the red jumper box off the motor and grounded the syten to the ground that come off the drivers side of the motor also and have had no trouble from that the same way PPE's book tells you how to do it,

But why would it work fine last night but not this morning? That's what is bugging me. Worked like a champ when I fired it up. I took it for a spin, shut it off, did some checking of stuff, drove it home and shut it off. Everything was fine last night. Then when I try to fire it this morning it goes haywire.

Your box has power all the time?

Check the fuse Josh if it is blown it will max out the cp3

Also it still uses the signal from the stock cp3 so it wont drain the batterys when the truck is not running

I would also hook it up to the red + box and make damn sure your ground is good

The fuse is good. I think my issue is something in the control box. I can pull the power from the box and it runs fine, but when I hook it back up it throws the code. I think it is still running with the key off because it is backfeeding regulator voltage through the power wire into the ignition. Probably not too good on anything doing that. For now I pulled the line from the second CP3, capped the T and put the stock belt back on. Worse case, I'll be running high rail pressure when I'm staging at the track this tomorrow...

Darn good advise there.
All my issues with CP3s ended up being groung wire related.

Okay, I'll go relocate my ground wire and see what happens.

I moved the ground to the battery, and it still didn't fix the problem.

With the truck runnin and your cp3 hooked up unplug the 2nd cps and see if it lopes then goes back to normal after you plug it in tht will verify if the controller is working or not

The guy I got the dual CP3 stuff from is going to have the control box builder look at it to see what happened. I think there is something on the board that failed.

I think the cpe was so easy to hook up my 10 month old baby girl could do it.pig tail to stock cp3 to 2nd cp3 power from red power supply and its grounded from the jumper tab there also.
