straight pipe

So i want to straight pipe my truck but cannot afford to buy the EGR delete kit. If i do not buy it will it hurt my truck or throw any engine lights?

First off, Welcome to DD!! Depending on what year your truck is you will more than likely be fine by just straight piping the truck. A few trucks have set EGR flow codes but it seems to be a rarity.
