I see you welded the mounts to the axle.......Is that the best place to mount traction bars? I put them on the bottom of the leaf spring bracket. Is that a bad thing? Or is it personal prefernce?

Looks good by the way. How long are they?

In theory the axle would be the right place. In the real world there probably isn't a right or wrong if it works for you. I did mine that way because it does make a lot of power and I do not what to brake the u-bolts and spit out those blocks.

Oh ok. That makes sense.

What's that thing on the rear differential cover also?

They ride great and have no noise at all. I used 1 3/4 od dom. I got ends and brackets from a 4x4 store out of NC. I used Currie Johnny Joints. They are 56" long on the tubes. I had them powder coated and used expoxy paint on the ends and brackets after I welded them in place. If done right you will be very pleased.

After a week of driving her around I'm still impressed by the overall improvement with the ladder's installed. I should have done it a long time ago. For any of you guys running lifts you will be very pleased with this on your truck and for any guys making power get some kind of device on your truck to help with the axle wrap. I should hit the track this weekend and will see if the numbers impress me.

I really like them. There are not any noises at all. When I put it in gear now all the clunky preloading is now gone. I got brackets from Barnes 4x4 in NC. They are mig welded onto the axle between the spring perch and the shock bracket. After welding I painted with expoxy paint.

lol It looks like it's sittin on top of the rear diff.

So what kind of noises to do trac bars make. Like when I brake hard I can hear a loud clack. Is that my bars?

It may be movement at your attachment points. I have not had that problem. What type joints are you using?
