Well, it sucks out today again! Its been raining here for the past 3 days, I got up this morning to go to work to find that 2 roads out of here have been closed due to flooding...not good, one even my friend here hasn't ever seen closed before! I go out side...Wholly SH!T, our creek on our property is out of its banks like i'd never seen before and ive seen it bad! Our house is prolly 300 feet away from the house and water was 20' from our back porch  So I decided to call off going to work today just in case. decided to get ready to load up our race car and such just in case, cause our shop is close too. Well fire up the truck and roll 10' and it gets stuck in our mushy yard, so if it gets worse, hope i can find a 4x4 with a goose to tow our trailer! as of now, the creek is backing down thank god! but we could keep raining till monday, the hurricane is making all of this worse too. Nasty and soggy here in tornado alley, Hope all you hurricane'ers stay safe too:(
Hang on tight folks!

Real Texans don't run...:rofl::rofl: I guess that's why the Coast Guard will be rescuing some of the guys they interviewed on CNN who (with suspenders and wife-beaters on) said "As long as we fill the tub with fresh water, and the beer holds out, we'll be fine..."

Seriously though, we don't have a hotel/motel room vacant in San Angelo, and it looks like the RV parks are filling up pretty quickly here too. Out at our ranch in Mertzon we've had over 6" of rain over the last 5 days...talk about getting stuck...

latest forecast shows it turning to the north a good way east of us, but the cold front pushing down appears like it might bring some more rain. Its been raining fairly consistant of and on for the past week, kinda unusual for here. I'll update the weather forecast as needed :p

We are expecting 80-90 mph winds and 12-20 ft surge here tonight. I'm high enough to not be effected by the surge but may see street flooding from the rain and there are some tall trees close to my house. I've got everything as ready as I can so I think I'll pop a top before the winds get bad.

We will take all the rain we can get up here. It has not rained more then a few tenths in the past month and a half. Finally started raining last nite and I am overly joyed. Pond was getting down past the rock line, if it doesn't rain enough here I am going to have a muddy fishy mess on my hands.:barf:

Good luck to you guys in Texas and stay safe everywhere else.;)
