Hey guys about a two week ago I replaced the water pump and the fpr becuase I would get a tiny surge every now and then, after replacement ran great for a week and the surge has come back in a very large way, rail pressure gauge reads spikes of 15,000 and it's now a consistent surge. Was able to boarrow a snap modis scan tool did a cylinder contribution test with readings of
#1 cylinder 677
2 683
3 685
4 680
5 678
6 677
7 676
8 679
Not sure if the contribution test is like the balance test , fuel filter had less then 3000 km on it and gets changed often no lift pump. Also it tripped p0087 low rail pressure. Now would the relief valve give me similar symptoms? Thanks any help is Appreciated.

Where you get fpr from? Can't go keep on them. I bought a cheap one off amazon. It lasted 3 weeks.

Edit- scratch that idea, l didnt see the part where you ran it for a week & it was good

Ok guys sorry about the late reply however finally got the truck up and running due to my lack of time and panic I ended up taking it to the stealer which was not a good idea. Spoke to the service rep who know me and leaving the truck in which I thought was there capable hands they diagnosed it as a fuel pressure sensor, being that I thought they had the tools and capabilities to diagnose correctly I told them to go ahead. Long story and a waste of $600 I took my truck home with the same issue, now with the truck back in my hands and everything and everyone on the board telling about aftermarket FPR and how bad they are I called and got my self a BOSCH FPR and got that junk bosch tech regulator out of there So where all good now !

PS only BOSCH brand injection stuff on theses engines o well live and learn will never be going back to the dealer going to invest in a top rank scan tool and figure it out on my own. Would like to than everyone on the board for all your help and solutions.
