driving around town at around 1000rpm i hit the gas to pass someone and the truck started dumping smoke, not for long but it was a sizeable puff. is this bad for a 2002 lb7 with 195k?

So it smoked till it built boost? Sounds normal to me. Obviously its tuned then right? It was black right and not white?
no it isnt tuned yet but yeah it was black smoke. if it smoked white that means its got a bad turbo or something right? and it was more like a puff when it dropped gears
Shoulds like its normal. Alittle smoke till boost come in. White would be not so good. On a lb7 it would most likly be injectors or head gaskets. But black u should be fine. As long as it clears up once turbo lights.
yeah it wasnt blowing for to long, i was more concerned it was smoking without a tune than listening for the turbo to light. thanks
