ANYONE EVER REMOVED JUST THE STOCK COMPRESSOR HOUSING FROM AN LB7 WITH EGR? NOT TAKING OUT THE WHOLE TURBO? IM IN THE MIDDLE OF IT RIGHT NOW AND I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE ALL THE BOLTS ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE HOUSING AND THEN I WENT TO PULL IT OFF AND IT HITS THE Y BRIDGE BEFORE IT HAS ENOUGH CLEARANCE FROM THE WHEEL TO ACTUALLY TAKE IT OUT. ALSO TRYING TO REMOVE EGR SO I CAN PUT A BLOCKER PLATE ON.... WHAT A PITA PITA PITA PITA PITA PITA!!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

I was deleting egr and at the same time i was changing out my compressor housing. The bolts that are on the bottom of the compressor housing are impossible to reach because the egr system is in the way and the y bridge for egr is larger and blocks the removal of the housing without taking out the bridge. I built a wrench to get the bolts and put it back together but i didnt change the housing after all. I modded the intake horn and took out the intake heater. I also removed the butterfly valve. It seems to spool a little quicker. Deffinetly more turbo noise. I also left the egr system in the truck but just made a blocker plate for it. I hope that housing works for you jmk777
