I'm still interested in this... I just think they make for better street truck chargers even when they are increased in size - aka Cheetah VVT chargers.

So what would really need to be done, as far as electronics, to control one? I'm wondering just how complicated the electronics would be or if a competent programmer could make up a box relatively easily? Brayeden? PPE?

This will probably never come to fruition now that the Cheetah LB7 chargers are being made but I can't see them be as streetable as the modified VVTs. The fixed-vain chargers just simply won't ever be as responsive as variable vain chargers, especially when they are "big chargers".

Probably just pipe dreaming here.

I'm sure some one could do it. I know a few years back there was a guy that put the vvt turbo off of a 6.0 PSD on a turbo buick. Not sure how he controled it but it can be done

How do the vains operate in electronic terms? Is it precise voltage....example 1.2537 volts is 60%? How do they feed back position.... etc etc etc? Maybe the guys at EFI Live could better answer the question.

It is possable, ive looked in to doing this on my lb7. It wouldnt be worth it, well, to me it wouldnt. You would have to replace all the electronics including the TCM and glow plug controller.......it would be a pain in the ass.

newly the only way to make it work (other than a custom standalone controller like braydens) is to literally turn your engine into an LLY. That means new heads, injectors, fuel system, FICM, wiring harness, ECM etc.

I dont know why you would need to change the TCM; they are the same.

Just what i was told, i dont know everything. Something to do with the VVT turbo programed for the 6 speed trans?? I dont remember, all i know is it was a pain in the butt.

I know they have 5 speed LLY's so i didnt understand either.

Doesnt matter to me, i was just posting to this thread. I dont want a Cheetah anymore.
