Off topic for the thread. But why is it that all these car companies advertise that the Camry gets 28 mpg and the hybrids get 30+ and all this like it is so great and improved, talking about the R&D that they've done to save us fuel costs. A 1990 Camry gets over 30mpg, my 1990 Civic that I bought for $600 gets over 30mpg - where is the so-called improvement. My fiance's TDI Jetta also gets 50mpg, and will far outlast and outperform any Prius. They need to wake up and get more of the small diesels to pass EPA and bring them to the US.

X2 , with all the hype you would think they would be getting 75mpg .

diesel will become more mainstream as soon as all the "kinks" are worked out. in the next 5 years or so you will see more diesel options and they will be on the road!

I laugh at all this 30mpg car hype too.

I own a 1960 Ford Falcon that yields 33 MPG and it was build almost 50 years ago......
