Ok guys heres the deal, i was at futureshop today and saw some jvc double din decks (dvd), i have a 03 regular cab and it has no onstar, no xm, and no steering controls, even though id like those. It has a pioneer double din bluetooth deck so im guessing it has some sort of wiring as door chimes still work. If i was to get a dvd deck what would you do in my situation? would you use the wiring in their and get another pioneer so that it matches? or would you tear out the wiring from previous owner and start fresh, i also want doors and i have a sub and amp in their already, so im not sure what everyone thinks

one other thing, what size are the rear "pillar" speakers????

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!

How butchered is the wiring thats how Id make my decision. If it's crap start fresh. Most wiring is color matched between stereo manufactures and your OEM wiring. What I like is plug and play from your OEM harness to the aftermarket deck. All the splices are done not on the OEM wiring harness.

i believe it is done with a wiring harness, so probably it should be ok, will look soon

Door chimes are annoying as hell. One of the best things I ever did to my truck was get rid of that. rear speakers should be garbage 4x6s.

In the rear of my truck I trimmed the speaker openings and made some adapters and replaced the 4x6s with some 5 1/4 components. I don't know if a regular cab has room for that though.
