Hey guys I could not find a steering thread so don't get mad at me again please lol. Anyways. Is it normal to be new to duramax diesels and feel like there is not much power steering?! I feel like sometimes if I'm
Turning with little to no MPH, it is hard to turn and just feels heavy as hell. ???? Is this normal on a 2014' 4x4 LT crew cab. I drive powerstrokes at work and I can turn a f550 with my pinky, and yet my 2500 pickup is almost awkward heavy to turn. Any help would be appreciated thanks guys

yes it can be common if the power steering fluid has not been flushed, larger tires are on it and/or the pump is getting weak.

i know you keep comparing ford as thats what you know but thats comparing apples to oranges. we are talking about two completely different vehicles with completely different steering/suspension systems. :D

TX of course
Not to mention I bet the tires on that 550 are way different then what's on your truck. Which makes steering way easier.

Not to add but after the 90's Ford put a lot of R&D into their power steering roflmao.

Remember that scene in the movie Pearl Habor when the Navy ship is taking on water and the sailors are fighting the door handles that is what my LMM feels like if I don't stay on top of servicing it. If it's intermittent and not consistent then you may want to flush your system to not only promote healthy pumping but also knock your steering valve loose. It's pretty easy to flush and should only take you 30 minutes or so to do. There's a thread on here with a step by step process.
