I tried that when i broke my wifes on her tahoe. the Clockspring is in the steering column, and they only want to sell the whole column. Ive heard swapping columns is no fun as you end up breaking more parts .
You need to call the dealer and get the clockspring part number for your year truck with steering wheel controls, then look on ebay, cuz at the dealer they are 365$ !
when you do get on installed youll prob have to have your truck programmed for it at the xdealer with a TECH II , But it can be done.
Its tedious to change the clockspring but not too bad. Good luck
